Scoutmaster's Welcome

Welcome to Troop 46, a Scouts BSA Troop for boys ages 11-18 in Waunakee, WI chartered with American Legion Post 360.

My name is Tim Troester and as a youth I was a Scout and a member of Troop 67 in Potosi, WI.  My adult Scouting career started out as a Cub Scout dad when my son joined Pack 46 in Waunakee as a WEBELOS Scout about 10 years ago.  I have been an adult member of Troop 46 for the past seven years where I have served as a committee member, an Assistant Scoutmaster, and currently as Scoutmaster.

The Scoutmaster is the adult responsible for working directly with the Scouts providing direction, coaching, and support.  As Scoutmaster I strive to provide the junior (youth) leaders with the tools and skills they need to run the troop, make sure the rules of the BSA and our chartered organization are followed, and be a good mentor and positive role model.
